Weather Query
Pilots can go to NOAA's Aviation Weather to check flight weather. Zack, being a data scientist by day, wanted to see if he could query NOAA's APIs and display weather here. Yes. Yes, he could. Type an airport identifier, IATA identifier or airport name. Then click the 'Get METAR' button to display the latest observational METAR for that location (if that location reports the weather). METAR stands for Meteorological Terminal Air Report or Meteorological Terminal Aviation Routine Weather Report. You can read more about METARs on AviationWeather.gov or on WikiPedia.
Bonanza Boys is NOT an official NOAA weather source. Do not use this website for flight planning!
